Colors & Colours

What do you know about colours?

Color or colour  is the visual perceptual propertycorresponding in humans to the categories called redgreenblue, and others. Color derives from the spectrum of light (distribution of light power versus wavelength) interacting in the eye with the spectral sensitivities of the light receptors. Color categories and physical specifications of color are also associated with objects, materials, light sources, etc., based on their physical properties such as light absorption, reflection, or emission spectra

See spelling differences:
colour is the British version
color is the American version

What can we do with colours?

Paper bags

Did I tell you I am a bit fanatic of paper bags? ;)

They are very cheap and you can do almost everything with them. In this case, I used them to sort and match colours.

Sorting
Invite children to sort gummies, cookies or cereals by colour

Colour jars
These are plastic jars with labels. Children can bring from home small colourful objects and sort them in the correct plastic jar.

Clothespins

Last year I found those beautiful clothespins in a bargain shop.I used them with colour cards to match colours and pins.
