Going on a hunt is always fun. Even with words. In this activity I invited my kids to "hunt" different words such as fruits, veggies, cereals, meat, dairy products, etc.
You can use the word wall cards or you can hide flashcards around the room.
What's your favourite word?
These are some of the activities we did with my kids. They chose their favourite word and do different things such a
* write and draw
* cut and paste
* colour the vowels
*colour the consonants
Either the sentences or the story can be nonsense. And this is the funniest part.
Place some flashcards in a basket or box. Invite children find a word for each letter of the alphabet. Let them write or draw the word in the worksheet.
